Ironshore Insurance returns for annual team volunteer event

ironshore_logo_stacked_.jpgVolunteers from Ironshore’s New York offices return to Monmouth County to dedicate a day of time and effort to rebuild a family home destroyed by Super Storm Sandy. This is the second project Ironshore and Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County have partnered on in the last year; in 2014 Ironshore assisted on a project in Union Beach. On August 13, Ironshore will transport 20 volunteers to the shore town of Port Monmouth, N.J., which was severely devastated by Sandy in October 2012.

Ironshore volunteers, lead by Habitat for Humanity crew, will continue rebuilding the Henn family home.  For nearly three years, the Henn family – Ana, a widow, and her grandchildren - have lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Keansburg. The family had enough funds to start the rebuilding process, however, partnered with Habitat to aid in closing the gap in funding to return home.

“We are grateful to Ironshore and their volunteers for returning, once again, to help our homeowners and affiliate continue rebuilding efforts in the Bayshore,” said Ray Gabler, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County. “We still have so much work to do in these communities to ensure everyone has the chance to return to a safe living environment, Ironshore’s commitment is truly a testament to our growing partnership,” he added.
